Canon Pixma MP190 Reviews
Trustedreviews reviews the Canon Pixma MP190 and writes;
“Print quality is very good. That doesn’t mean very good for a printer costing £40, that means good in comparison with many of the inkjets we review at a range of prices up to several hundred pounds. Black text on plain paper is very crisp and tightly formed, with no sign of jagged edges or spatter around the characters.”
Laptopmag reviews the Canon Pixma MP190 and writes;
“Aside from its startup time, the MP190 is generally slower than other all-in-ones. It printed black-and-white documents at 19 pages per minute (ppm) and color pages at 15 ppm; copies were adequate. A 4 x 6-inch color photo printed in about 30 seconds, and it turned out excellent, though not as good as with the Epson Workforce 500 (which printed the photo in 26 seconds). Set to the highest setting, the same photo printed out in 70 seconds and was close to lab quality.”

Solves the purpose
“I needed it as I was hosting a party where I wanted to give all guests a framed photograph of them in the party. I have used it only once and was pretty satisfied with the performance. I wish I had gone for better photo paper though.” – by S. Mohan
A little tedious to set up, but then GREAT (edited one year later)
“It took me about 30 minutes to set this up, which I thought a bit excessive. But it is wonderful to have this 3-in-one available at home, and it seems to be a great machine. The 4 x 6 pictures it prints rivals the ones I make at the drugstore kiosk! I haven’t scanned anything yet, but the copies I’ve made are good. Just be sure to let them dry before touching or they smudge. I guess all ink jets do that though. “ – by E. Donald
great printer, great price – ink glutton
“Every thing about this printer is perfect for my use except the printer’s unbelieveable thirst for ink. I don’t print photos but it’s almost as if I can hear the ink being sucked away. At roughly $40 a refill, it may become too expensive. I’ve had the printer just over a month and had to refill. December was a high use time because I was printing 2009 calendars, with lots of color, and with preview copies, probably ran more than 100 pages. Very fine quality printing but whoooosh! ink’s gone.” – by olfard
Great product.. Great price
“I am a big fan of Canon both printer and scanner. Recently I received an all-in-one printer with brandname starts with L, I was so frustrated because when scanned a file in PDF format, one single page is 1.6 Mb minimum. So I bought this one and now file sizes are 75% smaller. No problem at all… easy to use even for a rookie like me. Strongly recommend any Canon products.. had dealt with customer services sometime in the past, they’re terrific. Two thumbs up!! “ – by Marty
Pleased with purchase
“the Canon Pixma MP 190 consistently had pretty good reviews for a unit in the price range. Many users commented on excellent photo quality; however, that is not a feature I make use of. I order my photos from an on line service. The most negative comment from the reviews that I read and am experiencing is the slow printing and noise from the machine as it gears up to print and also while printing; however, since I use it only for non-business printing I don’t find it much of a problem.” – by SanDiegoGal
Canon Pixma MP 109 All in WONDER
“I have had this nice little machine for about a month and it works great. It was up and running within 30 minutes of opening the box. Nice controls in a separate window on the desktop make it easy to use. Automatically scans and creates multi-page PDF’s. That alone is worth the price of admission. Document and photo scans are crisp and accurate. Nice photo enhancement controls built in but I don’t use this machine for professional photo work. As a printer its relatively quiet and fast enough for small office use. I highly recommend this product.” – by William Brehm
Good Bang for Your Buck
“The print quality is much better on the Canon, the software is much quicker and less bloated, and the speeds (especially scanning) are much better. Having owned various brands of printers over the years, I am consistently impressed by Canon’s products and pleased with their software. This is a budget printer so don’t expect many bells & whistles, but for light work making quality prints, scans, and copies this unit is definitely recommended. “ – by Doggymcnuggets

Canon Pixma MP190 Features
This All-In-One automatically detects the type of original you’re copying whether it’s a photo, a text document or even a page from your notebook and then processes the image with optimal settings. The result is copies that will be truer to the originals, with accurate color and reduced grain in photos, and sharp, bold text in documents.
High Performance Ink Cartridges
The two genuine Canon ink cartridges (one black, one multi-color) contain specially formulated inks for the highest possible quality. They’re easy to use and to replace as needed.
Canon Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) uses a patented print head with 1,472 precision nozzles, injecting ink droplets as small as 2 picoliters. More nozzles = amazing images.
The unique expansion top lets you scan or copy bulky or thick items. Lifting approx.1/2,” it lays flat on for clear, complete copies or scans, edge to edge.
The symbols in the unit’s display consist of seven large LED segments, for easy reading and operation.
Powering up your printer is now faster than ever. After pressing the power button, you can begin inputting commands in approximately 2 seconds. Full operation is even enabled in a shorter time now too.
High Speed Connectivity
Connect to your PC with a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed connection.
