Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Released

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., February 7, 2012. Canon has released the new Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM lens that designed for professionals and photo enthusiasts. The lens offers a rear focusing system, high-speed CPU, and a powerful ring-type Ultra Sonic Motor (USM) with optimized AF algorithms for faster auto focusing and sharp images. It also utilizes one Super UD lens element and two UD lens elements to produce outstanding image quality with full zoom range. The Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM will be available in April 2012 with retail price of US$2,300.

Featuring one Super UD lens element and two UD lens elements, the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM is able to reduce the chromatic aberration in the outer area at wide-angle including the high resolution and contrast in images and crisp clear edges around the subject. While to produce an exceptional color balance and to minimize the ghost of images including reduce the spherical aberration, the lens has been optimize the lens coatings. Additionally, it also offers a circular nine-blade diaphragm to provides soft backgrounds and incredible bokeh.
