Canon PowerShot E1 Reviews
DCR reviews the Canon PowerShot E1 and writes;
“Tthe camera performs admirably at its lowest ISO settings. Even ISO 200 is relatively clean, though some pixel-level details begin to lose their edge, and solid patches can get extremely noisy.”

ITReviews reviews the Canon PowerShot E1 and writes;
“The Canon PowerShot E1 is lovely point and click camera. Image quality could be a little better but for the price you can bag yourself a great looking, easy to control compact. The design is superb: it’s sturdy yet lightweight enough without feeling cheap.”

PhotographyBlog reviews the Canon PowerShot E1 and writes;
“The E1 may look stylish in product shots, but in real life it looks and feels like some cheap toy – and while it is certainly not an expensive camera, it is not THAT cheap either. Nevertheless, it could still make a good first camera for a child, although concerns remain as to its ‘life expectancy’ in careless hands.”

Steve’sDigicams reviews the Canon PowerShot E1 and writes;
“The quality of our indoor image samples are also very good. The white balance does a good job of keeping the same color tones with and without the flash. The flash sample is just slightly cooler than the shots without it…Performance and quality are very good for an entry-level camera, making the MSRP of US$199.99 a very good deal.”

PocketLint reviews the Canon PowerShot E1 and writes;
“Colours are good and rich, perhaps a touch warm, but nothing to complain about. Shadows do sometimes show a little noise… So it all sounds really good. Well yes, it is a very competent little camera. Canon have been criticised in the past for not being good value for money, but the E1 bucks that trend.”

PhotoReview reviews the Canon PowerShot E1 and writes;
“Pictures taken with the test camera were brighter and more colourful and ‘punchy’ that they appeared on the camera’s LCD..Test shots taken out-of-doors had slightly elevated contrast and saturation and blown-out highlights were quite common. Shadowed areas also tended to block up in sunny conditions”

GoodGearGuide reviews the Canon PowerShot E1 and writes;
“The Canon PowerShot E1 is an impressive entry-level compact camera aimed primarily at kids and skint teens. It offers a nice array of features for the asking price and takes adequate photos to boot. All in all, a solid offering.”
