Thanks for taking the time to discuss about this, I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is extremely helpful for me.

I enjoyed visiting your website. Is there a better camera than the sx210is without going to a full DSLR

I forgot to mention, I use a CF card with 60mbs. vs her slower 15mb and 266x. I have even tried swapping out cards with her and it still comes out the same!

I now have had my 7D for about 6-7 months. I use it every weekend on family portraits and not having good luck on getting a clear picture. I use continious soft box lights, Camera on Manual, Mostly on 1/50-60,2.8 and in single shot. After a shoot of about 200 pictures of grown adults (still, and posing)only about 85-100 are good ones. The rest are blurry! I am using a Tamron 17-55 with VC! When my wife shoots behind me or aside from me, with the Rebel spare camera, they are almost all good! I can say she is having better pictures with the rebel than me with my 7d! bad comparison but, I use mostly hers! Wat on earth am I doing wrong????

Hi Sergio,

Stop down your lens to say F6.3 to F8 and everyone should be in focus. All depending on your Flash power.

Canon Indonesia just replaced my 7D body due to unknown defect (I guess firmware or preocessor), and the replacement was so much better in terms of focus and sharpness. This was with 24-105 f/4L, which I complained a lot before and even did microadjustment. I just came back from a week of photo-taking, most of them were great. Those which were not good was due to my own fault (IS off, shutter too low, etc.). And I didn't touch the microadjustment at all.

Maybe you can visit your distributor with some sample images?

You should familiarize yourself with your equipment before you go into battle. There is no A-DEP settings on the 7D which I think you are referring to with the group shot.

Gentlemen, I have had the 7D since 3/2010 - just a couple of notes for those comments above -
video - 12 mins to protect the sensor - nothing to do with 32 gig chips. it's set for 12 mins a a max - or when the temp sensor determines that the cmos chip is getting hot - believe me don't want to fry that one - \
focus - man if someone would read the manual and understand WHY the focus points change then they would welcomw knowing what is being focused on.

Do not shoot a wedding when you can understand the camera - that's "pro" - I think not

Dark blue sky with Lumix LX3 - internal preprocessing software when creating the jpeg file. Use photshop - it's quick

to be completely honest I have yet to get a sharp image out of the camera even shooting RAW in good light with 1/500 at 100 iso the files look grainy, soft and a little blurred, whatever shutter speed I use they appear to have a little movement when I zoom into them. I know what to expect from Canons and this is not it.

WTF - I'm do model shoots, fashion, advertising, all the time and 16x20 is almost standard display - razor sharp unless I use cheaper glass

all are IMHO - I have beat the hell out of this camera through South and Central America
It's a keeper
