The 550d is a great camera and if used with good quality lenses, the results are excellent whether for video shooting or photography. We always bring with us the 550d when shooting property videos using Sigma ultra-wides. The only negative point is the overheating issue especially in warmer climates. Let us hope the future 650d will address the overheating issue.

This happens because your video card on your pc cannot handle it. Upload the video to youtube and it should render it for you and watch it on youtube and save it from there

My problem is that when I shoot my movies I can watch them on my HD tv directly from the camera with an HDMI cable without any problem, but I can't save the video clip in my computer and watch it on the PC. It freezes and jerks forward. It doesn't run smooth. Could it be that my PC is too slow or do I need to run a different program than the ES utility that came with the camera?

Hey, Besim!

This 'flickering' pans are about shutter speed, and it's results may change based on the fps number you record.

There's about interpolation also, that changes drasticaly the motion of the video.

First of all, be shure you get a Mem Card

Try another interpolations in your video, anyway in some editing softwares.

Reproduce the video via HDMI cable to your tv which has the same interpolation that the video does, and check the flickering out. PC monitor is different from a plasma tv, for example, so it's interpolation's also.

And as in ANY other video equipament, from the widest price range, avoid fast pans.

hank you for your time, but could not fix that problem, again when moving from right to left and vice versa, in all ways 24 or 30 f / s still not well recorded video. I carry the videos on PC, or when I've watched the same playback problem (this only applies to the format 1920 x 1080,) while in 1280x 720 format videos recorded very well. my SD memory card (SDHC 16GB 10 gold color) I think that is compatible for HD recording.
if you can send any tutorial or any opportunity to see how we get better full HD recording. Thnx to much

Hey Besim.. You have two possibilities for fixing this problem.

1. The viewfinder isn't 30fps not even 24fps. So, it means that working with 15 fps, things looks like in a non real motion.
So, don't believe in viewfinder, as video reference .

and

2. You're probably shooting in 1920X1080 24fps, it means you'll have a "filmlook" motion, that's not real life like.

In the video size menu, set it up to 30fps, and that will be ok!

Is your SDHC memory card class 6? (i.e. fast enough for your HD video)?
