Belomo MS Peleng 8mm f/3.5 Reviews
Photozone reviews the Belomo MS Peleng 8mm f/3.5 and writes;
“Using the Peleng 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye was pure fun thanks to the extreme fisheye effect so a technical analysis of the lens seems almost pointless. That said it is a pretty sharp lens. Its major optical flaw is flare which will be easily visible in many images. Due to the extreme field-of-view there’s also almost no way to shield the lens from strong light sources to avoid the problem.”

“Image quality is generally good, with (not surprisingly) some chromatic aberrations toward the edge of the circle. The image is sharp in the center; toward the edges it gets a bit softer, but not too bad. Contrast is decent but not great. The worst problem is flare, which will always be quite noticeable when bright lights or the sun are in the frame — which can be hard to avoid with a 180-degree field of view. “ – by Craig Dickson
“An excellent lens for its price, the difference with the more expensive lenses, nikon, canon and sigma, the belomo fully manual focus and aperture, but are aspects easy to learn “ – by riccardo zullian

Belomo MS Peleng 8mm f/3.5 Specifications
The new Fisheye Peleng 8mm f/3.5 lens is an interchangeable, short- focus, super wide-angle, compact lens that provides a stunning circular field of view of 180 degrees and a circular image (not a full-frame image) on the 35mm negative. It is a must when taking pictures with a large field of view, such as architecture, landscape, and group scenes. You can use this lens for shooting color, black-and-white, and infrared films. It provides meter coupling to your cameras exposure meter, so you maintain through-the-lens metering. MS Peleng AC has a dedicated Canon EOS mount allowing to use the lens manually with Canon EOS digital and film cameras.
