Olympus VR-340 Announced

Hamburg, 10 January 2012. Olympus has announced a new compact camera, it is the Olympus VR-340 camera. This camera has a 16 Megapixels images sensor with a 10x super wide optical zoom lens (24-240mm – 35mm camera equivalent) to capture high quality images. The camera is designed to people who don’t have plan to photo sessions, so it comes with high ISO capability and a iAuto including AF Tracking to support capture beautiful images and also an HD movie. Features include Magic Filters, Eye-Fi memory card support and a 3.0-inch LCD display with 460,000 dots. The camera will be available on mid-March 2012 with price of €129 in silver, black red and purple.

VIPA 2012 Photo Competition

The Vienna International Photo Awards (VIPA) are now open to professionals, amateurs and students photographers from any country to compete in their competition. The VIPA 2012 Photo Competition is focused on documentary photo-reportage like social, cultural, political or environmental issues. The participants can be submit a single photo or a series which related to the focusing competition. The prizes of the competition are 1st prize €4.000, 2nd prize €2.000, and 3rd prize €1.000. Olympus SP-620UZ Released

Hamburg, 10 January 2012. Olympus has released new Ultra Zoom ‘Traveller’ camera, it is the Olympus SP-620UZ. The camera has a 16-megapixel CCD and a 21x wide-angle optical zoom lens (25-525mm) equivalent to a 35mm camera. The camera features include sensor-shift Image Stabilization, a TruePic III+ image processor, Eye-Fi memory card compatibility, Magic Filters, in-camera panorama Panorama and 3D photo shooting. Panasonic Announces Four New Conversion Lenses
