The Association of Photographers announced to the photography students that the deadline of AOP Students photo competition is fast approaching. The AOP Students Photo Competition is the photography competition that annually showcases the best images from the next generation of photographers. It consists of four different categories: Lifestyle & Portraiture, Fashion & Beauty, Landscape, Interiors & Exteriors and Still Life, that can be followed by students photography. All finalists in this competition will take part in an Exhibition in central London and will receive:
* A full day’s work experience with highly acclaimed photographer Julia Fullerton-Batten
* A FinePix X100 digital camera supplied by Fujifilm
* A bespoke portfolio supplied by Delta Design Studio
* A year’s mentoring scheme with Harry Hardie, Director and Founder of Here
The Categories of the competition
The participants can submit unlimited entries in four categories:
+ Lifestyle & Portraiture (Single & Series)
This category includes portraits and lifestyle images featuring people and/or animals as the primary element that can be submitted by participant.
+ Fashion & Beauty (Single & Series)
This category includes fashion and beauty-style images.
+ Landscape, Interiors & Exteriors (Single & Series)
This category includes landscapes, cityscapes, seascapes, interiors, exteriors and architecture, which may or may not include people, animals or objects as a secondary element.
+ Still Life (Singles & Series)
This category includes still life and food shots where inanimate objects feature as the primary element.
The 2012 Judges
The competition will be judged by five highly acclaimed industry professionals, including award winning photographer Julia Fullerton-Batten, Harry Hardie, founder and director of Here, Michael Regnier, Editor Panos Pictures, Perry Curties, Editor 125 Magazine and AOP Photographers Awards Gold Winner, Nick Meek.
