Which lens for landscape?

Hello, I want to shoot landscapes cause that´s most appealing to me, besides close up. Just browsing trough reviews and therefore i am a bit dazzeled!!

I am a beginner, so what would be a nice lens to start with landscapes? It can be a Canon, but i also come across Tamron, Tokina and Sigma.

Who can enlighten me ? My budget is max. 500 euro! [ Join Discussion ]

How do professionals print their photos?

Hello everyone!

I intend to do an exhibition soon in my town, I would like to print my photos in good quality and probably frame them with a simple black thin wooden border.

But here is the question.. Where? How and on what do pros print their photos?
Do they print them in simple printing studios (like Kodak etc..) on photo papers?
Do they print them in more printing oriented places on other type of papers? (like the posters etc..).

Is Matte printing better then glossy?

Best time of day to avoid over and under exposure

I did a photoshoot this weekend and we shot for most of the day starting at 10 am. I di alot of equestrian photography and I was shooting a stallion for his owner.

It didn’t seem to matter where I moved or where I had her move the horse, it was either blown out or too dark, too much highlight of too much shadow. I kept my F stops below f8 for good DOF and I kept my ISO at 400 or less, most of the time it was at 100 as it was super sunny. I had my shutter speet pretty high, betweek 250 and 500. Should I have had it higher? Should I have been shooting in the evening? Here are some samples from the shoot. [ Join Discussion ]
